MONSORA BROWSER EXTENSION PRIVACY NOTICE
What the Extension does
The Extension is an optional browser add-on that helps you collect reference material into Monsora, including through features such as batch capture and reference selection. You do not need the Extension to use Monsora.
What it can access
The Extension requests the following browser permissions: storage, activeTab, scripting, tabs, sidePanel and alarms. It has host access to all websites, to api.monsora.ai, to the domains of our authentication provider, and to local loopback addresses on your device (127.0.0.1 and localhost) for sign-in callbacks. It reads the URL of the current tab locally, only to determine whether the site is supported and to coordinate content capture, and it does not collect or transmit your browsing history. It accesses page content only when you start an action, such as scanning the current page or capturing generated content from a supported creative tool. When you save an asset, the Extension retrieves the relevant media file, including files served through the site’s content delivery network, and uploads it to your Monsora cloud library. The Extension does not access cookies and does not read files stored on your device. Your browser will show the permissions requested when you install the Extension.
When it runs
The Extension acts only when you start a collection action. It does not monitor your browsing activity or collect content in the background. When you start a collection action, it operates only on the page where you started it, accesses only the content needed to complete that action, and does not collect data from other websites or pages. The Extension is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
What leaves your device
When you start a collection action, the Extension sends Monsora the content you selected, together with the minimum related information needed to identify, organise or retrieve it, such as metadata about the asset. Apart from that, it does not send your browsing history, the content of pages you have not chosen to collect from, or information about the sites you visit. The Extension also sends product usage events, such as content capture and drag-and-drop interactions, for product analytics. These events are limited to a predefined set of properties and do not include the content you collect, URLs, cookies or information that directly identifies you. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions where consent is required, we ask for your consent before analytics collection begins. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings, and collection stops as soon as you do. Material you intentionally collect is handled in accordance with the Monsora Privacy Policy. If imported cookies are used, they are handled as described in the Imported Cookies Confirmation.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for making sure that you have the right to collect, store and use material from third-party sites and that your collection complies with the applicable site terms, access controls and law.
